Of Holiday Insanity and Books

Oh, this week has been crazy! Between studying for and taking finals, trying to finish up Christmas shopping, and going out with Suzy, I've been pretty busy. How I managed to read all the way through Infected by Scott Sigler as quickly as I did is beyond me. I certainly liked it. I'm not sure what I liked about it though. If you're into books involving parasites, science, and horror, then this book is definitely for you.

I've begun reading Physics of the Impossible by Michio Kaku, and it's really interesting. It's an easy read for those who don't know much about physics without taking away from the concepts Kaku discusses. Potential readers can feel at ease that the book was written well enough (from what I've read so far) to not bore you with the "I'm smarter than you and know it" feeling that some scientific books/articles/etc. exude. Informative and fun are the first words that come to mind.

In other news, Nikki, our husky, apparently hurt one of her eyes by running into something while she was outside last night. My sister is coming over tomorrow to take a look at Nikki. I really hope there's no permanent damage. =/
