2009 Resolutions

Hey you all, I'm back from the limbo, no longer sick (don't ask) and with a new set of resolutions for 2009. I know I'm a bit late, as these things usually get published in late December, but who cares? Not me; I usually forget about my resolutions by February, but this time, this time it will be different. (don't mind me, been watching The Long Johns too much)

So, resolution number one is...

Learn to play guitar. Seriously, this guitar has been here since the 70s, and nobody plays it, and that's a CRIME. It used to belong to an uncle of mine who died in 73 (I wasn't kidding when I said said the 70s). Grandma kept it and promised me I could have it when I was a kid. So, I enrolled in a summer class and will start my first lessons in about two weeks, but that won't be enough, obviously. So, I will enroll in regular guitar lessons after my summer lessons.

#2: Practice my Japanese. Two years of classes and I can barely remember how do you say ' I want a glass of water, please'. That's what not practicing a language does to you.

#3: Lose the tummy. Of all the bad things about being overweight, the tummy is the worst. I can live with big hips, I can even live with more cellulite on my thighs, but the huge tummy which does not let me even think about putting on a bikini in a city like Rio during summer? It has got to go.

#4: Post more frequently on RPGs, forums and blogs, and give more attention to my LJ and my Wordpress blog in Portuguese.

#5: Take better care of my health. That includes not forgetting to schedule my dermatologist appointments, because I'm not getting any younger here!

#6: Get less distracted at work. As nice as LJ and make-up blogs are, they are not what I should be worrying about. Besides, the faster I get my job done, the faster I get home to use my computer to visit whatever sites I fancy.

#7: Get back to practicing sports. I am still not sure whether to go back to gymnastics or swimming, but I have to do at least one. And if I find the time (what am I saying, or course I have time!), try some sort of martial art. Any one.
