We've started doing a game night on Sundays at Game Kastle now. Arkham Horror, Chrononauts, Killer Bunnies, Munchkin, et cetera. So, if anyone wants to join us, just let us know and we'll let ya know if/when we'll be there. ^_^
I started the new job for San Jose Unified School District on Monday. We're being trained at a non-profit school that isn't a part of the District, but at least we're getting paid for it and it's only for this week. The school is okay, but we're only there to observe. So when we're not actually doing review and stuff with the program directer lady, it's all I can do not to fall asleep. (Probably doesn't help that I haven't been getting much sleep, as Boo has been rather persuasive in keeping me up with much more engaging if tiring activity. *grin*) It's mostly review, which is what makes it so boring. It's very similar in style to what they did over at PACE, it's just the excecution of it that's modified, so it's no big deal to me. Easy easy. But it's mandatory. Le sigh. At least we're getting paid. :)
Several weddings to attend this year. Should be interesting.
We're going to pick up the wedding invitations for ours this week, as we found a design we fell in love with and don't want to risk it not being available in two years. LOL We have our florist lined up and have gone over what types of flowers and centerpieces etc that we want, so that will be tons easier when it's time to actually do it. And we found the cake design we love, now we just have to decide which flavours/fillings/frostings. And our cake person is also lined up. We're finalizing our guest list so we have a better idea of the headcount to budget for and capacity to require for the venue. There are a couple of sites we really like. We have appointments this month to go look at them, so hopefully we'll have that decided soon as well. Which means we'll have a much better idea of what this whole affair is going to cost us so we can effectively budget for it. We are on top of it. Go us!
Into The Woods is playing in Sunnyvale this week. We are hoping to make it to a showing before it closes. We'll see what our schedule allows for. Also going to TKT's cd release show on the 19th. Looking forward to it! They rock, and we just don't get to see them often enough. *pout*
What else going on? I'm in the middle of reading waaaay too many books. They're all good though. I'm rereading Terry Pratchett's Discworld stuff (in order), and finally tackling the Incarnations of Immortality by Piers Anthony. A history of England, and a history of Ireland, a short story collection set pertaining to Alice in Wonderland, and another set in Neil Gaiman's world of Sandman. And that's just the ones I can remember!
Tons of movies coming out that I want to see. Hopefully we'll make it to at least a fraction of them...
Oh! Boo has now officially watched her first porn. LMAO She decided she wanted to see some the other night, so it was off to the video store after she got out of class. After much blushing and hiding her face in my shoulder, she decided on two- Pulp Friction, and The Strap-On Club. Mostly because she hoped those would at least pretend to have a plot. *snort* Now that she's watched them, I think she knows better. LOL But if anyone knows of any GOOD porn out there for her to watch, feel free to tell me. I think she wants something more in the realm of erotica given what she seemed to expect from what we did watch... Still. So funny!
