Still looking for work, but at least have some good leads now. Just need to finish tweaking my resume so I can use the bloody thing! :-/
A friend got a baby bearded dragon for Xmas and after a week decided it wasn't for them, so I have now inherited her. She's very cute and really mellow, though. But the crickets she's been munching on get a bit loud sometimes! Ah well. Need to see what kind of veggies she likes, too. And a name. She needs a name. She's about 15 weeks old now, and will be a desert red colour when she's full grown...
Most of my Xmas shopping is done, I think I just have a couple more things to get. And the tree, I still need to get the gorram tree. But hopefully I'll get that taken care of tomorrow. Also getting the kitchen table out of storage tomorrow, but may need to hit up the thrift stores for chairs. I seem to be having a chair shortage. *smacks forehead* I did get most of the household shopping done, so we actually have dishes and such for everyone now. Still need some cookware, but I'm pretty sure what we have is servicable for what needs cooked this weekend at least. Also nearly done with the grocery shopping for the party. Just need to pick up cotton twine and salad, and flour for the scones.
Tomorrow I get to do the insane cleaning spree of the house and start decorating! Not exactly looking forward to cleaning, but it needs done; but the decorating part should be highly entertaining! And then I'll have to figure out how to keep the dog from eating it all... She might have to stay at my dad's if I run up to Mildee's party on Saturday. Have to figure that one out...
Whee! Took Dianne around to the mall today. Nightmare parking, but the crowds once inside weren't nearly so bad. She got most of her shopping done. And there were a couple of sales I couldn't resist. But for the most part I behaved! And picked up a couple more pressies for others that I'd missed getting earlier.
I think I will obscond with my mom's vaccuum cleaner to start cleaning tomorrow so I don't have to fuss with what size bag I need to buy for mine. Teehee.
Those folks out of state whom I have pressies for will receive them after the holiday, as I don't feel like braving the post office crowds. That includes folks getting Xmas cards. :) They'll be a bit belated, but know they're coming anyway!
