the world knows that the [myname] programmers, gots the skills
So before taking my current job I interviewed with [company] which made an offer than I was very tempted by, but decided to go to a different company that was offering less over all compensation, but work that I feel would make me happier. and so far I feel I've made the right decision. However 3 months after that [company] called me and said that they had a new opening and in case my current job wasn't everything I'd hope it would be, they would love to hire me ( I guess I made a good impression). 3 or so months after that. today, I got a call, hello is [myname] there?
me: yes
this is [person name] from [company] , you ready to start on monday?
at which point I break out laughing, explain my confusion and the situation. and then.. they say, oh I called the wrong [myname]. we just hired a [myname] from San Fransisco. So apparently being unable to hire me, they were desperate enough for a [myname] programmer to go to san franscisco.... incidentally [myname] is first AND last name.
