Zig Zag

Zig Zag is a game as well as an advanced square dance call. We were up in the Berkshires this weekend for an invitational challenge dance called by the husband of dceder and Clark Baker. I believe they kept us challenged, though I wonder if the floor is getting better, or the calling is getting easier.

Some LJers I got to dance with were apparentparadox and wooddragon, canseefour and Barry, callyperry and Andy, nosrednayduj and Ken, three of last weekends CA crew, zipperbear and Jonathon, src4sd and Eric, rfrench and Romana. I showed a bit of Lateral.

Went to Panda House for dinner with Barb & Carla, and then gorged at Ben & Jerry's. After that we stopped by their hotel where Cally & Andy had game night going on.

We got to play a couple of games of The Bucket King where you stack 5 different colored buckets in a pyramid and hope they don't topple as you play sequentially increasing cards. Zig Zag consisted of building an obstacle course, collecting your path and running it. St. Petersburg looked interesting, but the timing didn't work out for me to play it. I saw Clark and Paul playing some Agriculture game at the dance hall that also looked a bit complex and interesting. In town we checked out a new store - Let's Play A Game - which was well stocked. I don't want to spend $30-50 dollars on a game without playing it first though, so didn't purchase anything.

Are you really home after a Who's On 2 1/2 from a diagonally squared set - or just close?

games, friends, square dancing
