Went to the DMV, and that didn't work out so well; by the time I got lost, figured out I was lost, figured out where I was, and got to the DMV, it was lunch time. Meaning the place was packed. I'll hit it tomorrow morning first thing. And hope.
I got home and did laundry, ran the dishwasher, took out the trash, and cleaned the kitchen, including the stove. I also managed to hit the grocery store and got everything I needed for the week, for only $32. Then I got home, chatted and searched for a job (no luck on finding anything to apply for), took a brief nap, woke up, got some rock n' roll on the radio and made dinner: fried chicken, buttermilk biscuits, and a nice salad. Smoke detector didn't go off, the food wasn't burnt, it all tasted good, and I've already got most of the cleanup done (just gotta deal with the oil and the pot I used as an impromptu frying pan).
And I've got the rest of the evening to do with as I see fit. Not bad.
