The license and tags thing really sounds like a quagmire.
When buying cookware, all the experts recommend heavy metal with a tight-fitting lid. But when you go to the local department store or specialty store, it all seems so lightweight, and the lids really don't fit very tightly. I recommend "waterless cookware," if/when you can afford it. Mine has lasted for years, and it cooks very evenly. I love it.
I was thinking something like this, as a start, and then proceed from there.
One thing about the license situation: as stated, you cannot register a vehicle in the state of North Carolina without having a valid permanent license. However, when you go to get an original license, you need two forms of ID. And one of the accepted forms of ID is a North Carolina vehicle registration.
Well, the price is certainly right on that cookware. I don't use non-stick, though. I learned to avoid it when I had pet birds (the fumes will kill them), and I've just stayed away from it ever since.
If you ever get a chance to try some waterless cookware, you'll never want to use anything else. But it's expensive!
