and this is a bad thing to break back onto the lj scene with i suppose, but this is a short spot of fiction that i might put into a larger, but still short story. comments would be lovely.
There was a chandelier over the bed I used to sleep in so long ago, (when I wasn’t in the fridge). I’d always been afraid it would fall as soon as I shut my eyes. Of course it never did, but I couldn’t help dreading that one night, as soon as I’d finished brushing my teeth, I would close my tired eyes and the weakest link would SNAP! Then the entire apparatus would crash down and crush my chest. I fancied this to be the opposite of those falling dreams, the ones where you wake up as soon as you hit the ground or whatever it is you’re falling onto. The chandelier would be the thing falling, as I would be lying still, and as soon as it hit the ground, my chest, I would never wake up again.
