(no subject)
This is the very first time this has ever happened to me and I'm grateful for the support I've received so far. Just the other day I was notified by moderndayportia ( link to her notification to me) that FuryanWarrior stole my Riddick fanfic (on fanfiction.net and on livejournal.com) and was posting it as her own over at fanfiction.net. I followed the link she provided me and was stunned! Naturally, I left her a review declaring my outrage and I then immediately contacted fanfiction.net. I rallied some people to help report the incident and declare their outrage as well. A day went by and the story was still there, but she started playing the 'let's just change the disclaimer' game. I left her another review and contacted fanfiction.net once again as well as their support team directly via email (link to my email to them).
I finally received word from both FuryanWarrior (link to her response) and fanfiction.net (link to my initial message; link to their response). And FuryanWarrior has now taken down my stolen story and made a strange disclaimer in her profile over at fanfiction.net regarding why the story was taken down. Unfortunately, the screencaps (stolen chapter 1, stolen chapter 2, stolen chapter 3, the reviews) I have of my stolen story are after she played the 'let's just change the disclaimer' game. However, she did still note that she edited it in this disclaimer when it's very apparent she did no such thing and even admitted in her profile on fanfiction.net that she copied. And to further add to my case, not only did she attempt to steal my story, but she's stolen one of my icons as well, which is being used on her profile page at fanfiction.net ( my original link to my stolen icon). Again, she's given no credit nor has she contacted me about using it, etc.
I have also learned that I am not the first person that has fallen victim to this plagiarist (she has attempted to plagiarize zelha as well), so even if my case helps to spread the word, I'll be very happy. Anyway, any help as to how to further take this person down and stop them once and for all would be wonderful. Thanks.
