Finally have joined the company of writers who've been plagiarized. I was alerted by a review on ff.net -- screencap of review
here.
My plagiarized story is
The Way It Is. You can find the ff.net version of the original
here. The culprit is
hooloovoo_too, and you can find her version of my story both on LJ,
here, and on ff.net,
here.
ETA: She worked fast, has flocked the LJ entry. I can still view the ff.net entry, but was unable to leave a comment, so it may be deleted by now. I have screencaps of both versions of the story, however, in several formats.
ETA redux: Now bahleeted from ff.net.
Ff.net version:
page onepage two Can provide the rest of the caps if needed.
LJ version: My caps didn't come out all that well, but here is a
Word .doc version of all three posts with comments.
I have not contacted the author, but I would like it known that she is a plagiarist, and should be watched. I do not believe she has deleted the LJ version of the story, but only flocked it, so that is not entirely taken care of.
Enough work was put into this to show that the woman can write, and it makes me wonder why she used my story as her template, when she appears to be capable -- theoretically -- of writing her own fiction. It's a pity, but it is also entirely WRONG. ::sigh::
