On Monday evening, a couple of Thunderbirds writers found a plagiarist on fanfiction.net. She'd lifted two fairly obvious pieces from the fandom, changed the character names, and put them up as being her own (in the fandom of Suite Life of Zack and Cody). Greetings. I’m sorry to hear about the limited response from this person. What you have indicated is similar to patterns we’ve seen with plagiarists - wide variation in style and prolific posting. There have been times where while we’re in process with one fic, members of the community, or other communities have recognized or google-fu’ed and found additional original authors, so it would not be without precedent for us to open it up to the community. And community members have been pretty good about relaying additional information and not engaging in any sort of flaming. The one difference is that we don’t have a particular piece of fiction that is under review for plagiarism when a name is shared within a report ( ... )

Update: The second story that she plagiarized is back up, and after looking at it, I see that she missed the words, "International Rescue" in one paragraph. She is nailed. I'm looking for the original now and will post it when I find it. Her copy is entitled "Tears That We Cry".
