Case against XGBlue
On September 30, 2001, someidiot reported that XGBlue plagiarized:

Here is a section of Colb-a-nater's fic:“Pikachu breeding process,” said the Pokedex. “A male and a female Pikachu breed by pressing their lips together, as some call it a kiss.” Everyone looked at Ash. “Then, the sperm from the male Pikachu goes through its mouth and into the female Pikachu’s body. Then the offspring starts to develop closely afterward. The development usually takes about two or three days,”
Here is a section of XGBlue's fic: The Pokédex plays a voice that says "Pikachu Breeding Process. A male and female Pikachu kiss and the male Pikachu's sperm is transferred orally to the female, who will typically have an egg within the next hour."
There is a high similarity of word choice and phrase, also to the best of my investigation, this level of detail about conception of pokemon is not part of canon, so it is not a common turn of phrase within fanfic.
Colb-a-nater:"You can't just name him that. He's your son, he's a Ketchum! You have to give him a special name, a unique name," she said[snip]
"I've got one! This was one of the names I thought of when I was pregnant with you, Ash. How does Xander sound?"
Ash thought about it. It sounded cool, it was a unique name, and it seemed to somehow fit Pichu. Maybe that could do it.
"Xander sounds great! That'll be his name from now on," announced Ash.
"Great!" said his mom. "Now, what about his middle name?"
"Does he need a middle name?"
"Honey, everyone has to have some kind of middle name." She pondered again. "Oh! I saw this one in the dictionary once, Taran. Would that be a good middle name?"
Ash thought about it again. It was another unique name and was catchy.
"Xander Taran Ketchum. I like it," said Ash. "How about we just call him Xan for short."
XGBlue: "Oh" she said "So what's his name?" Ash responded "Pichu." His mom said "You can't just name him that! He's a Ketchum, and he needs a proper name." [snip]
Then Ash's mom said "I thought about this one when I was naming Ash. Does the name Xander sound good?" Misty said "That name sounds perfect!" "I agree!" said Ash. "Now for the middle name" Ash's mom said. Again, they suggested names with futility, and again Ash's mom had a breakthrough. She said "Ooh, I saw this one in a book once, how about Taran?" This time Ash spoke up first "I love it!" Misty agreed. Ash held up Pichu and said "Introducing Xander Taran Ketchum!"
Again, you can see the use of the same phrases. In addition, it is not a canon element that there is a Xander Taran Ketchum, so the way the story unfolds is not a part of familiar canon.
I contacted XGBlue and received the following reply:I just want to note that that deviation has been posted for over a YEAR and no one has cared until about a month ago. It barely gets viewed anymore anyway, I don't really care... Go ahead and make a decision.
As for the use of a character named Xander Taran Ketchum, while it would be good form for XGBlue to acknowledge the original creator of the name/character, it is no plagiarism to write fic about a original character. In some fandoms, there's pride for a writer in seeing a character become a part of common fanon. But as mentioned, it is considered good form to not use a character/character name if it is not so wished by the creator.
Given the use of the same phrasing and words as well as the acknowledgement of Colb-a-nater's fic as the source, I will be adding XGBlue to the list of known plagiarists.
