Releasing his trusted retainers from their duties was probably the last thing Ling wanted to do. It had been difficult speaking to Ran Fan about it, even if she didn't show it on her face he knew she had taken it hard. And considering how old fashioned Fuu was, Ling knew this wasn't going to be easy either.
He'd been standing outside the door to Fuu's residence, his hand raised to knock, but it took him a few seconds to muster up the courage to do so. After knocking, he stepped back, waiting for someone to let him in.
