Judas normally wasn't one to take up games of chance, or any gambling games for that matter. Back in Seinegald he had seen drunkards in taverns gambling away their life's savings over cards before, and he held no real pity for them; they were the ones foolish enough to gamble in the first place.
But this month, Judas was now in that position himself. Due to a Guide malfunction he had accidentally signed up for a position as a professional poker player. He had found the game to be simple enough, and he found that he had a knack for it as well. There was the odd big loss here and there, but throughout the month he'd been a fairly strong competitor, and he could understand the rush that gamblers would feel when they pulled off a successful hand. Plus, the extra credits from wins was a nice touch.
So here Judas sat at an empty table in one of the rooms that was set aside in the recreation area for such gambling games, shuffling a deck in his hands as he awaited a new challenger.
