Kagetsuya loved to cook, lived for it, really, but there was something lacking when he wasn't cooking for someone else, and he had finally grown weary of looking up and expecting to see Chihaya there. It broke his heart at every meal they didn't share... and who could he blame but himself? Wasn't he the one who needed time, needed space? But it seemed no matter the time and no matter the space, he was far from healing. Cutting himself off from his roommates didn't much help, and with Chihaya being the only person he knew, he had no one else to turn to for help or advice.
Not that he sought to make any friends when he stepped into the cafe, only a meal he hadn't prepared himself, and the chatter of other diners to take his mind off its own lonely thoughts. Finding himself at a small table off to the side, Kagetsuya sat back and watched the customers around him. I really ought to get out more often he mused to himself.
