But hey, look who came to visit! And yes, she did hear about him attacking the platform during that one match. Lemina's right? Hm.]

Kamui wasn't really paying attention to anything going on outside his cell. It was usually just guards doing their rounds anyway, so by now he'd just gotten used to tuning it out. So if Shinpachi just happened to be strolling by, he didn't notice. He was sitting on his bed facing the far wall, and was a little preoccupied with tying a fresh bandage off around his thigh. One of his hands/wrists was bandaged up too, and since his hand was apparently fucked up he hadn't bothered tying his hair back.

It was weird seeing Kamui in a cage, much less him staying in one. As he wandered by, Shinpachi almost felt a pang of...guilt, was it? It wasn't pity, that's for sure...hell, Kamui deserved to be locked up...

So then...why did he pause outside of his cell?

Kamui snorted, tying off his bandage before turning around. He'd half expected it to be another arrogant guard poking fun at the MIGHTY YATO for not being able to break himself out (he was most definitely going to decapitate all of them as soon as he got out of here), but he was actually pretty surprised to see Shinpachi there. What the fuck.

Passing through to where exactly, though, he hadn't a clue. But he notes Kamui's surprise. It was a face he'd never seen before.

How many nights had she spent in this cell now? She couldn't stand it here. During the day, when she was surrounded by the other fighters, it was easy to put on a brave face and insist that they'd all be breaking out of here in no time. But when she was sitting alone on a prison bed, with no one to wear that arrogant attitude for, she could feel her heart ping-ponging back and forth between being so sad and homesick that she could do nothing but cry, and being so angry that she wanted to set all the guards ablaze and loot their pockets for compensation.

Right now, she wasn't even sure which she felt. She was sitting on the bed, hugging her knees to her chest and keeping her head lowered. If she knew a visitor was about to arrive, she might have made a better effort to hide how upset she was.

When he reaches her cell, any thought he had, any inkling of what he had wanted to say flew from his mind. It was a shame too, because the entire trip here, he'd been practicing ways to tell her that he hadn't forgotten his promise, ways of sounding cool and confident to ease her worries.

But...in the end, Shinpachi just wasn't that kind of character.

He finds himself wrapping his hands on the bars of her cell, leaning his forehead on the cold metal.

He opens his mouth to speak but...he really doesn't have anything to say.

There's no response from Lemina. Apparently she doesn't even realize he's standing outside her cell yet.

But the guard certainly notices. And does a double-take. By sheer coincidence, it's the same guard that Shinpachi had taken down with one hit from his bokuto. And boy oh boy, he doesn't look happy to see the bespectacled menace again.

However, the guard can't afford to show how afraid he is of a sixteen-year-old boy with glasses, so he quickly regathers his composure and tries to act tough. "Heh heh! So, back again for more, ehh? Or are you here for a night with your girlfriend? I'm surprised the higher-ups are even letting you have conjugal visits after that stunt you pulled, brat!"

Lemina slowly tilted her head up, revealing an aggravated expression on her face. "What are you even talking about, creep? I'm no one's--"

He's always tended to be restless when in small places, but right now he can't really muster the energy to pace the cell or to point angrily as the guards as they pass. So he's just kind of sitting on the floor with his back against the wall, tossing a bouncy ball to the corner so it'll bounce back to him. Where'd he get the bouncy ball? Some alien kid must of lost it while here and he just found it, so finders keepers, etc.

His eyes burn from tiredness, but he doesn't want to sleep yet.

The sound of the ball on the side of the cell caught his attention as he wanders by. Those goggles sure looked familiar...

He glances up at the voice and blinks.

"Guh... ehh, that you, Shinpachi? Whaddya doin' here?"

Not that he's not grateful for the company (because he is) but as far as he knew, Shinpachi hadn't been taken with the rest of them... plus, he was freely standing outside his cell.
