"You think it'll go well?" He asks his dragon, drinking from a glass of orange juice. He really likes orange juice.

[What can be described as a large, twisted black and white face arrives shortly after, seeming to glide across the floor, although remaining completely on the ground. Everything seems to distort at his presence, with the dark becoming darker and inanimate objects suddenly seemingly to leer at you. The food has eyes, man! EYES]
[After all this, he simply regards the room with a smile.]
My~ What a lovely little party you have here~

But this party has to go right! So he makes his way over.]
Oh, thank you! But, are you the one who caused the lights to go out, sir?
Reply
Why, yes~ I was indeed I who disrupted the light to this place. I find it quite a deal more comfortable... would you agree~?

[Matthew scratches his nose, putting his words in order.]
The thing is, this is a party that is being thrown for someone who I don't think will agree. And, I really want this party to go well for her.
So, would you mind stopping?
[And he leans in a little conspiratorially.]
She might set you on fire if you don't, anyway.

What does is that she shows up totally not late despite how late the post may come, with a package under one arm and a bag with two smaller packages of tea in her other hand. What's in the larger package? A pair of gold fabric flower hair decorations, with two ribbons on each one that stream down when they're worn.
Yeah, she pretty much resorted to her old stand-by of making something, since it's cheaper that way. But since it was at least gold colored and fairly nice-looking, hopefully it would suffice.
Also, just... Staring at the "party" before her. Since... she's not sure if this is better than what she knows or not.

What he can do is scamper over-and he's wearing the fox suit she made for him. It's pretty awesome, so he thought it'd work well as a party costume.
"Miss Elsis! You made it!" And watch him flex both his arms. He's looking bright and chipper as usual.

Awesome and snazzy, so Elsis can't really blame him for using it as a party outfit. Thankfully, that snaps her out of the staring, and she nods to him with one of her small smiles.
"Yeah, looks that way. And speaking of looks, you seem better."

"Thank you. When I got my magic back, I just cured myself." His grin gets a bit bigger, as a thought occurs to him. "I never showed you my transformation, did I?"
Before she could answer, he began anyway. His tail grew, wrapping around him in its massiveness, before unfurling and shrinking at once to produce a rather small, golden fox, the same blue eyes as usual, sitting on his haunches. And yes-foxes can grin.

Judas had to admit, he was a bit impressed with the whole scene. He didn't think that Matthew would be able to pull something like this together, especially when he had insisted that he knew nothing of birthday parties or how they are organized. Yet here was a spread that could rival a party thrown by a lower noble. While he normally didn't attend such things, he decided not to dissappoint Matthew and at least show up for a moment to acknowledge his work for the guest of honour.
Of course, it was that precise person that made Judas strap his swords to his belt, just in case. He didn't want to end up as an entree. How good was a dragon's memory anyway?

Upon seeing his teacher, Matthew ran on up in excitement. "Mister Judas! I'm glad you're here!"

"Oh, I know. But you're pretty rude sometimes, so I didn't know if you would in the end." Matthew chuckled out that remark, before getting his hands on some orange juice. He loves that stuff so much.

Her first action is to find herself a glass of champagne before bothering to look around to see who was there. It would be against the rules to not make herself known to Matthew or the dragon he mentioned.

He is also wearing his ring, so Kneesocks does not get the benefit of being magically turned towards liking Matthew.
What she does get is a happy ten year old greeting her. "Miss Kneesocks! I'm so glad you could make it."
Reply
It's only after she lowers the glass again that she speaks.
"It would be against the rrrules to not attend after accepting the invitation."
Reply
"That doesn't mean I can't be glad to see you, right?"
