A game of hide-and-seek wasn't what he'd expected. In all honesty, he hadn't expected much of a response at all; Chidori was fairly well-received against his invasive nature, but actually (finally) agreeing to show her artwork was, well ...

Surprising.

He approached the situation as he always did, treating it like the game it was. There was a prize to the winner, and Hikaru's fierce competitive streak - when it was for something he actually wanted, that is - would not allow another victor to claim it.

Chidori's guess about the seventh being the first he went to was entirely correct, but for what she might not account for was the twin arriving early and making a high inspection of things. Needless to say, it shortly after the girl found her hiding cove that the elevator dinged to announce his presence.

The sound of the elevator made Chidori look up and raise her eyebrow slightly. So, he finally decided to show up. She hoped there were enough people to form a distraction if she needed it. Watching the elevator, she took a small step to the side, ready to change her hiding spot if she needed.

There's a moment where he debates which way to travel: left towards the fountains with the weird green liquid in them? Right towards the hat shop that fits such a large assortment of creatures, including ... droolfedoras for the snail-like creatures in B4? He shoves his hands in his pockets irritably and tugs the headphones around his neck a little tighter, their bass thrum heard over the general roar of the crowds.

"KISS, KISS, FALL IN LOVE~"

... Why did he like this song again? Oh, Kaoru had liked it.

Finally giving an irritated groan, he decided to walk forward towards the candy store with a highly ... erotic selection.

Chidori watched him carefully. She was glad she picked a place like this to meet him. So much was going on that it would be nearly impossible to pick her out from a crown, despite her brightly colored hair and uncommon clothing. This was really the first time she had spent more than a minute here. Social activities were never her thing.

Passing by the displays of sexual confectionery (... Where does that thing go?) and onto a boutique that reminded him of the clothes his mother made. It was easy to get side-tracked; he hadn't spent much time roaming. He hadn't really wanted to, not when he could spend time with Kaoru and how hard he had to work.

Giving a sigh and trying to realign his attention, he rubbed his neck and reminded himself why he came. Chidori and her artwork.

He looked to the crowd with more intent.

"Red hair. Bonnet-thing?"

But all he could see were bodies.

Oh, he looked terribly upset by this game. Chidori felt a smile tug at the corners of her mouth. Could she dare say she was enjoying herself? She shook her head and took a step out from the corner. Her plan was to move as quickly as possible through the crowd and place herself near where Hikaru had entered. He wouldn't backtrack. Not yet anyway. It would give her plenty of time to escape in the elevator if she needed to.
