[M'gann likes the beach! she didn't get the chance to really visit different places while she was on Earth, but the beach was one of those few, and she'd enjoyed the experience pretty well. it's a wonder she hasn't gone to check out this one at the dolphin pool before... but right now, she needs some major cheering up to get her mind off things-what better timing than to go now?

...and when she arrives, she can't help but just stand and stare at the impressive work of art before her eyes. is something like this even possible? she doesn't even notice the familiar face beside the castle, much too distracted by the sheer awesomeness.]

You can go have a walk through it, if you'd like. It ought to be fairly stable.

Half of it - it's our job we took up this month, Remus and I. Bits here and there are still rather temperamental, but considering what its modeled after, that seems appropriate.

We, er...have a bit of a skill for it.

[She pats her hair absently, currently be held back in a bundle by her wand. It still feels instinctively weird but quite nice to not have to hide all the magic stuff from daily conversation. She nods at the castle]

It's where we went to school, the lot of us - it's called Hogwarts.

That's kind of a weird name, no offense. I mean, as far as Earth names go!

[Lily laughs out loud- she'd thought the same thing the first time she heard it.]

It's kind of an weird place - brilliant, but definitely odd. They say one of the founders had a dream where she followed a warty hog to a cliff over the Black Lake, and so that's where they decided to put the school. Not very imaginative, if it's true.

I suppose you might find a lot of Earth names odd; everything's a bit different when you leave home, isn't it? Some of the things in this place are absolutely mad.

Really? I guess maybe it does deserve a name like that... [she then looks over at the sand replica, smiling at it almost fondly, even though she'd never been to the actual one before. she sure can imagine it.] From the looks of it, though, I don't doubt it's amazing.

And yeah, you can definitely say that. I think the longer I'm here, though, the more I'll find "strange" to be "normal." Funny how things like that work out, huh?
