[Upon hearing about his arrival, Yuui had made his way to the clinic. He'd heard through the grapevine that's where he'd ended up. So, a visit was in order. Yuui knocks on the door lightly.]

[Ed looks up at the knock, and for a moment looks slightly guilty. But then he grins a little and lifts his left hand in a wave. He's sitting up in bed with a few pillows stuffed behind him. His Guide is in his lap as he's been browsing the posts from the week he's been gone.]

[And he places his hands on Edward's cheeks, holding his head gently as he looked into his eyes. A small, kind smile.]

No... But, asking me to teach you the concept to do so... and to leave without personally saying good bye...

It's far more painful for your loved ones, Ed. I know. I came back to a lover who had cried everyday I did not return... to friends who were cross and worried sick about me. I felt horrible...

It wasn't so much the concept... I already knew how I was going to get back. The spell just... helped narrow the focus.

I think I was just... eager to get going, once I'd finished. Everything finally came together and I could go after him. I really do know better... I think... Though you'd think after a year and a half of friends suddenly leaving I'd try harder to get it right.

Even with a good bye though... which mind you, was fairly considerate... the thought of you leaving and never returning was painful for so many. For that reason...

I traded my alchemy to get Al back.

And even if I hadn't, I wouldn't. It was specifically for getting back to him. Now that I've gotten him home... I'm okay, here. With my friends.

No, I'm nothing to envy. My own foolishness and pride got me into that situation and it took losing nearly everything before I found my way out.

My own foolishness made me lose more than just my eye, Edward... You may have lost it all, but did you not gain even more back? Was it not worth it?
