(no subject)
so texas state this weekend. one word can describe my experience : LOVE. mrs garcia had no idea how right she was when she told us we had one foot in bellaire and one foot in whereever we're going next year. i am so ready. i'm so ready to experience college and life by myself. i'm ready to be an "adult" and just have fun. i'm so excited. we went to a lecture by an author, tim o'brien, who i sort of fell in love with. then we went to a mock classroom where we just got to debate and discuss things. it was so amazing. i visited the college of education, and i just cannot wait to be in the classroom learning how to teach. i seriously cannot express my infatuation with san marcos. it's the most beautiful, fun city i've ever seen. everyone i met greeted me with the biggest smile and kindness. screw houston and its assholes. i'm off to the gateway to the hill country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i also saddened myself though thinking about leaving certain people behind. and that was fairly overwhelming. but there are a couple people i know i'll keep in touch with. we've been through a lot of shit together, and not having certain people there would be kind of devastating. basically. i had an awesome weekend though. so yay!
