Well I am back from my weekend in California, and I have me sweet speedo tan line to prove it! It was fun getting my ass kicked by 6th in the nation D1 water polo teams. It was also fun getting my ass kicked by their second strand B team players. What can I say, we went not to win, but to gain a lot of experience playing against better players

what were the other games like?

It was a one point game against Solano, we should have won, but a missed one on nobody in the remaining minute led to a two point turn-around.

It was a two point game against UCSC's second strand for three quarters, then we held our own against their starters fourth quarter.

Davis B kicked our ass, 15-6.

who is Solano? A junior college?

So you guys lost a close one to Santa Cruz, but they didn't play their starters cause they thought they wouldn't have to?

Yes, Solano is a junior college.

Yes, UCSC started their second strand because they knew they didn't need to play their starters, but ended up putting them in fourth quarter because it was close.

PS: Have you played any of these teams?

yah. we played UCSC at the claremont convergence...slept our way to being down 4-0 on counter goals in the first couple minutes of the first quarter and ended up outplaying them the rest of the game but losing by two goals. a really shitty game. we've had a lot of problems this season playing to our ability and playing complete games.

Most of the goals scored on us were counter goals. Understandable considering we only practice twice a week in a 25 yard pool. It was something else playing in a double deep 30 meter pool.

yup. we are well conditioned now but were asleep at the wheel which sucked.
