I Hated You, Whirlpool Toe

Ugggh... @_@ Okay, so, my new sock knitting book is awesome because it lets you make custom socks, right? Basically, the author shows you like 8 or something different ways to do the arch expansion (the part between the toe and the leg, or the part where the sock kind of bends like an L so it's not all vertical or whatever) and also provides you with a list of different ways to do the toes, heels and the cuffs and stuff and you can mix and match depending on whether you're doing the socks starting from the toe up or from the cuff and down to the toes. Like...I could make a sock be something like "Rolled Edge Cuff / Plain Heel / Sky Arch Expansion / Star Toe" or something. It's NEAT and I want to try a lot of different combinations.

And so I began my journey! I'm doing the Spiraling Coriolis Arch Expansion (ugh, I can't find a good picture online but it looks like a snake going up the sock) and it's been kind of a pain. First of all, it's a toe-up sock, and I've spoken before about my difficulties with those (though I do feel a bit more comfortable with them now but I am still a cuff-down girl). Second of all, its suggested toe is this one called the Whirlpool Toe and, while it looks really pretty, IT WAS A PAIN IN THE BUTT. Seriously, it took me the longest time to understand what the pattern meant and I had to redo it at least 10 times and it was frustrating. After a looong while of trying, I fiiiiinally figured out what she meant and now I'm working on getting it to be the necessary length so I can move on to the arch expansion. I am SO using a lifeline for this next part because I'm pretty sure I'll mess it up. Maybe it was dumb to start with what is probably the most difficult/convoluted arch expansion pattern in the book. -_-;

Oh! And I played the Fat Princess demo! And I'm...kind of addicted. I like it a lot. A LOT. I could waste some serious time playing that game and I seriously want to buy it. I think I did the best with the Worker class. I'm just not as good at battling or something, but I think I'm pretty decent at upgrading structures and stuff. And feeding cake to princesses or something. I also like the Priest, so that's my back-up class for when everything is upgraded and I actually wanna FIGHT. The Mage or Wizard or whatever is cool too. I did the worst with the Warrior, maybe because I always do suck at close combat.

I just realized I have 4 different "major" projects due on Tuesday and I haven't started any (well, no, one of them we did start and it's "almost done" but...). BUT I CAN DO THIS. I CAN HANDLE IT. The genius always comes at the end! Ahaha, no, I'm not saying I'm a genius. No, it's just that...that's the title of the ending song to Those Who Hunt Elves and I always liked it. And wanted to use it. And now I'm nostalgic. I thought the dub on that show was actually better than the sub. Anyway, I just can't wait till all this homeworking is over.

AND THANKSGIVING IS THIS WEEK! See, this is the "bad" part about the holiday season. It goes by SO FAST. October went by super fast and November has too. I do NOT want it to be January school times yet so pleaaaase take your time, December!
