I finished my dad's sock! YAAAAY! It was a long, arduous journey and weaving in the ends was a pain in the butt and now I'm concerned I weaved an end too close to the bottom of the sock and he's going to feel it when he walks, so I'm hoping he doesn't. A LOT. I can't undo it now so ugh. I guess you live and you learn.
And I'm totally buying this book on knitting socks on circular needles along with said circular needles. I'M IN IT TO WIN IT. And now, have some visuals.
Here's a bad picture of it! I think it looks better in person.
And here's a picture of Rhiannon's yarn as I was making it into a yarn ball.
It's SO SOFT.
My uncle is still in the hospital and in pretty bad shape. Basically, they're saying he's pretty much in a persistent vegetative state (is that what it's called? His brain isn't working, they say). My whole family who lives here (i.e. 90% of them) was at the hospital yesterday and everyone who doesn't live here is on their way. The doctors aren't giving us pretty much any hope at all but we believe in miracles, so any prayers/wishes are appreciated. He's an awesome, awesome guy and his first grandchild (whom he was very excited to meet) will be born in one week (this is one of the saddest parts of it).
