So RELIEVED!
I have all my textbooks! YAY! I got them all without incident or complications this time around, so I'm excited and relieved. I bought two of them from Amazon.com (you remember Amazon.com, right? My online store boyfriend?) and found the last two at the school bookstore. So that's definitely one less thing on my mind. Even better, they all seem easy to read and actually INTERESTING. It really feels like now I'm getting more into the stuff that will actually help me in my career as opposed to just the foundations or building blocks. I mean, those are important and interesting too, but I think it's a bit harder to see the connections and applications with those. Like, before it was "this is this guy's theory" and now we're more into "this is how this guy's theory is actually relevant and how you'd actually USE it." So that's nice. Also nice is that my teacher I was scared of seems really nice (and my assignment that was due and that I was nervous about went really well!). Which I totally saw coming because that's how it usually works with me. ^_^; I'm still a bit wary of my other teacher, though, so I hope the same thing happens with her and that we're BFFs by the end of the semester or something. I mean, we're both INFPs! It's just GOTTA happen!
Aside from that, I'm making it my mission to get both Final Fantasy IV DS and House of Many Ways this weekend. I need that stuff! I've heard good things about both, so I'm excited and look forward to owning them for the rest of my life and playing/rereading them in years to come. Speaking of which, I'm missing a bunch of books. I can't find my copies of The Alchemist, Peter Pan, and Castle in the Air, which bums me out because I really love all of those and have been wanting to reread Castle in the Air for months. I remember the first time I read it was about 5 years ago when I was feeling kind of depressed and I thought the book was awesome and hilarious and it really helped cheer me up, so I have fond memories of it. Anyway, I'll probably end up having to buy it again. MAN!
OH, AWESOME! I just remembered I have a bunch of bookstore gift cards I haven't used! *_* I can buy books AND manga! But what manga to buy? I'm still at a loss. I mean, I have all the Yotsuba &! manga that is out, I think. I guess I could continue building my Fruits Basket collection but, to be honest, I sort of lost interest a while ago (which makes me feel super guilty, actually). I think volume 2 of Goong is out, though, and I really liked that... I must do some research into what is out right now. If only I weren't so picky with manga lately...
