Um...I need to reupload my Project Runway icon.
Stella's gone, man. Why's it gotta BE this way!? Stella was... Stella was... Oh, ok, fine. Stella was probably the right choice to have leave. I mean, I still think Suede's outfit was worse, but Stella really didn't seem to be the type to sort of...belong in Project Runway? Is that snooty of me? What I mean is, she always seemed to be like, "This isn't what I DO!" but that's kind of...what the show is all about. I was always shocked when she said things like that (had she watched the show at all before?). But the fact remains that I actually liked her as a person. She seemed nice and not catty and stuff. So I will totally miss her though I suppose she was probably the right choice.
And so, let us discuss the contestants!
Blayne:
Ugh. Blayne. I'm sorry, Blayne. Sometimes you seem nice but...for the most part, you irritate me so much. The whole "licious" thing is super annoying and so is the tanning obsession. And I haven't liked a single one of your outfits yet. So...I do not mind if you are the next one to go.
Jerell:
Jerell is kind of like Terri in that I can't...decide on him yet. He does seem nice, actually... I liked how he handled his having to work with Stella in the Brooke Shields challenge (telling her that he actually had leather in his outfit so it was a good match). And he seems to encourage the others sometimes. I always like it when people encourage and support each other even in a competition. ^_^; So...right now, I'm liking Jerell pretty well.
Joe:
I gotta be honest. I don't like Joe. I'm not even 100% sure what it is about him. He just rubs me the wrong way. It's been like that for about 3 episodes now and, for some reason, I seriously can't wait till he leaves. And then I feel bad because I can't seem to pinpoint what it IS that I don't like about him. So...Joe. Yeah.
Leanne:
I wasn't too sure about Leanne at the beginning but she's totally grown on me. I really like her style, too (meaning her hair and clothes). The one dress she made on the second challenge (the brown one that almost got her kicked off) was hideous but then I got to thinking and decided that I probably mostly hated it because of the hideous fabric. I mean, the loopy things were weird too but... Anyway, the point is, I've liked her stuff for the past 3 or so challenges and so she is currently one of my favorite contestants.
Kenley:
Um...Kenley has always struck me as kind of arrogant and mean. I've sort of disliked her ever since the first episode, even though I have liked several of her outfits. She just seems to think she's so much better than everyone else, which, while not something uncommon on this show, always irritates me (ahahahaha! Should I find another show to watch? But...this has Tim Gunn in it!). She'll probably end up going far but I really, really kind of don't want her to win.
Korto:
I actually don't know that I would wear the kind of stuff that Korto makes (though I loved her coat on the car challenge) but I think her stuff looks well-made and I like how she seems willing to take criticism and ideas. I was happy when she got mad at Joe for telling her that he had reservations about their outfit in the Brooke Shields challenge (I kind of understood his point of view too, though, because I might have done the same thing, since she was the "boss" or whatever, haa...) and was like "If there's a bus coming, I would tell you about it" or whatever (she said it way better). Anyway, I just like Korto. Even though she seems kind of serious, I still like her, so that's kind of a neat achievement. Maybe it's partly because she also designs for fuller women, and it always irks me when designers whine when they have to design for people who are not stick figures or something.
Suede:
I have...problems with Suede. I think he seems like a nice guy but the whole third person thing was no good for me and drove me up the wall. I also tend to never like his outfits (in fact, I thought his outfit when he won the Natalie Portman episode challenge was really ugly). So...I will probably not cry or anything when Suede leaves. Unless he somehow totally endears himself to me in the coming episodes. Which I find unlikely.
Terri:
I don't know about Terri... I do like her outfits a lot, but her personality...sometimes she seems kind of mean. Well, that goes for a lot of people and it's nothing new on Project Runway but I just...don't know yet. I think I'm pretty ok with her for now. We'll see~! I do think she has what it takes to be one of the top 3 but, then again, I thought Kelli would make it far and Daniel, Suede, and Blayne somehow outlasted her, so...
So those are my thoughts on everyone! Basically, the people I WOULD like to see at Bryant Park are Leanne, Korto, and either Jerell or Terri (probably Jerell at this point). I'm probably Team Leanne right now, so we're doing good!
I have my first assignment/project due tomorrow. It's nothing too hard but I hope I didn't forget anything on it. I'm ok. I AM OK. I read the instructions several times and followed them exactly, so I should be ok. Because I am ok. I'm a little more concerned about my assignments due next week, but I still have the weekend, so I am still ok. STILL OK. OK? OK.
Man, I have a The Sims 2 complaint. Is it just me or are most custom outfits for Sim teenage girls out there kind of...super slutty? Just like real life! =D No, just kidding. Kind of. No, for real. My Sim's daughter just turned into a teenager and I wanted to get her pretty outfits but everything is all...not appropriate. I would try to make my own stuff but, for some stupid reason, my Body Shop thing won't open and I think I'd have to reinstall it and I don't know if I can do that without uninstalling the whole game, which might erase a junkload of custom stuff I have, not to mention probably all the Sims I've made, so...I am at the mercy of other people who make Sim stuff and can do nothing but whine on my LJ. Or contact one of them and beg. But...I don't feel like bothering anyone. I guess she'll just have to wear that skirt for now. Also, I want the Apartment Life expansion pack.
