On Wednesday we got our preference sheets for December. I filled it out and turned it in an hour after I picked it up. This being my 6th(or 5th? oh crap I've lost count) Christmas at the REC, I know pretty well what's gonna go down.
I love and dread this time of year.
Things are supposed to be "normal" until the 10th. According to my "recap" blog entry last year all hell broke loose on the 10th. I was just explaining to my friend Deborah this afternoon how it all worked last year. It was inevitable, minimal, overtime. If that's not a paradox, I don't know what is. I'm hoping against hope that this year will be the same.
I'm fortunate enough to be high enough on the pecking order that I won't have to work on Christmas day. And as usual, I have my two personal days. For me, it boils down to less than 15 days of torture. I think. I haven't looked at a calendar long enough to do the math. *shrug*
I'm going to TRY to do all of my shopping in the next few weeks. Christmas and birthday's. I feel more challenged this year for some reason, usually I have a list of ideas by now. Hmm.
Alright. That's all I got for now. Here's what's up for the next couple days:
- Saw 3D and dinner at The Anchor with Angel tomorrow
- Pumpkin empanadas. Right now it's just a rumor.
- Fire pit, s'mores, pajama party at Brandi's tomorrow evening
- Signed up to work at 7 on Monday morning. Not sure why. Moment of temporary insanity? Oh right, it's awesome to bounce out at 3:300pm, suckas!
- I ordered a 12x18 wind farm print from Ted and I'm SUPER excited for it to get here. I need to find a frame that I like.
- Glow sticks + camera = light painting
- Should be making the FINAL payment on my Jeep within the next couple of days
- At this point I'm just writing unimportant things, because I enjoy lists a little too much and I just found the bullet button...
- Is not sure how to end the bullets...
- Maybe I press the bullet button again?
This is way too long. Time to stop now. Happy Halloween, friends!
