I really wanted to be formal in this introduction. Start with the fact that I am a Junior Detective at the Santa Barbara Police Department, and that I've helped solve 'x' number of cases since I've transferred in from Miami, but it just doesn't even sound like me. I mean starting anything off with "Junior Detective O'Hara" just sounds a bit ostentatious, and just odd. So maybe the less than formal approach is smarter. Smarter and less stressful.
I'm Juliet, a lot of people call me Jules, but you can call me whatever you feel comfortable with. Well not that we'll be getting comfortable, I mean this is just the internet. So maybe it's just safer if you just call me Juliet, or Jules. Anyway, the crime rate in Santa Barbara isn't as high as you'd think, and we do get a bit of help now and then from a local source. So there is quite a bit of down time in the office. As much as I like reading up on the latest police code updates... I needed something else to relieve stress. It was recommended to me that I start a journal, but I can't very well sit at my desk and write in my leather bound diary now can I? So the internet was the perfect choice.
Turns out? This is really fun to do. Of course now it's becoming a bit of a distraction. Just like most things that I like these days. Bad for me, distracting... attractive...
