The trouble with writing an entire novel in less than a day is that end result isn't worth the expense of typing it. Thank God I can't develop carpal tunnel syndrome.
However, yesterday's curse has put me in mind of something important: employment. Specifically, the acquisition of said employment. My resume is extensive and includes diverse experience in the military, politics, government administration, property management, and the publishing industry. There was a time during the nineteenth century that I earned my living at the card table, but what else was a single gentleman of means to do when a day job was out of the question?
