We have humming birds again. Just a few scouts, right now... hope we get the swarms that we did a couple of years ago. I'm gonna try & set up a web cam for them. I put out a water bowl for the outside birds, and they're lovin' it.

It makes me a bit wistful to think that we may not be here for the peak of the hummingbird season this year!

Isn't it the case that you'll be physically near them next Easter?

Not really, since they live in Leander, TX, and we'll be in Claremore, OK.

ABQ - AUS = 749mi
TUL - AUS = 466mi

So... closer, but I wouldn't really call it physically near.

I noticed a robin in the back yard today. As soon as I hear a buzz in the backyard, the hummer feeder will be going up!

I think we put ours up about 2 days ahead of the scouts. bfly has a real knack for that. The last two years, she dreamed about them the day before they got here.

Saw an Oriole day before yesterday.

Are you sure it was an oriole and not a grosbeak? We don't get many orioles down our way.
