After making it a point to stop in the lobby and thank Sam for his hard work, Dennis headed upstairs.
Gingerly placing the pumpkin on the floor, he decided unpacking could wait for a bit. Instead he sat down at the table and began to write.
Dean:
Everything is fine, and my folks are brilliant. We have a standing invitation to visit them anytime in Lisbon (if you don't mind slightly cramped quarters). Thanks for holding down the fort and keeping the bar working while I was gone. Maybe this coming Saturday I'll bake. If I do, you get first pick.

P.S. I picked up a pumpkin at Neville's. I thought you might want to try your artistic skill on it.
On another piece of paper he wrote:

Sorry, I left in such a hurry that I didn't say a proper good bye. But I had to, I couldn't wait any more to see Mum and Dad. I'll tell you all about it later. Maybe we can get together and catch up. I did miss you, all of you.

I would ask how are you, mate but as the team is winning I think I know the answer. Seriously. I know I've been gone, AWOL as the Muggles say, but what have I missed? I'll be back in the office tomorrow but feel free to stop by the flat anytime.

Thank you for understanding why I had to go. I'm sorry if I left you all in a lurch, that wasn't my intention. It was just, I didn't know for so long where Mum and Dad were and when we found them.. Anyway, I'll be back in the office tomorrow and will work as late as you need me to in order to get caught up.

Hi, long time no see. All my doing. Had to go see my folks. I don't think I ever told you, but they've been missing for a year, and well, I kind of feared the worst. But, they are fine, we just didn't get each others letters, and the mail didn't forward my letters on to their new address. Anyway they are in Lisbon running a Pub, so if you ever feel like visiting Portugal, I'm your free ticket.
I hope you are doing okay. Any progress on the books. And I have a selfish request After almost 2 weeks of having someone take care of me and cook for me, I'd like to cook for someone else. Any chance I could convince you to let me cook dinner for you. If so just let me know what night is good. Maybe not Monday or Tuesday because I need to get caught up at the Quidditch office but anytime after that would work.
