Su had never followed Quidditch so closely in her life. It was amazing what having a friend on the national team would do to a person. She had already been inundated with owls from her mother, who was in love with a beater in the Chinese team and was devastated when they lost in the first round. And it was high time she sent an owl of her own.
To my Number One Fan,
Can I be yours? I finally saw the latest QuidditchWatch - yes, I know I need to get out more - and I can't believe what a game you must have had! I of course had no doubt that you would win, but I can't imagine playing for so long. And so I'm sending you some treats to help you recover. I'm sure you're pretty busy just now, but maybe we could meet and celebrate after you win the tournament!

"Fancy a long trek?" Su asked Pasha. The owl looked at her steadily. "I'm not sure where he is, actually. Do your best, yeah?" She attached the letter to one leg and a package containing a dozen of her egg custard cakes plus some loose oolong tea to the other and watched Pasha fly.
