Date: 29 September 2005
Character(s): Eleanor Branstone, Hannah Abbott
Location: Their respective residences.
Status: Private
Summary: Eleanor certainly isn't going to take this lying down.
Completion: InComplete

Eleanor had decided--sometime during the night that didn't seem to want to end--that it wouldn't do to cry over this. Of course, she had reached this decision after crying so long that her throat and eyes hurt, but she was done with that now. So Ernie had left her. That didn't mean that she had to be depressed, miserable, and resigned to her fate. Instead, she was going to be proactive.

After retrieving his letter off the floor near the rubbish bin, and reading it over and over, she came to the conclusion that his reasons for leaving were just not true. Ergo, he had no actual reason for leaving. There was a simple solution to this problem, she just had to find Ernie and make him see that.

Of course, there was one flaw in her plan; after wracking her brains all night, she hadn't the first clue where he might have gone to. But Eleanor wasn't going to let a little thing like that stop her. Someone was bound to know where he would go, and she was pretty certain she knew exactly the person to ask. Even better, she was fairly certain that person would be willing to help her.

Hannah had said that she'd never seen Ernie this happy, and Eleanor doubted that she would be thrilled to learn that he'd left town. And she had known Ernie far longer that she had. Hannah had to know where she could find him. So really, it was just a small flaw. Not even a flaw at all really. She'd just owl Hannah and ask her where Ernie had gone, and tomorrow she would go and tell him he was an idiot and he should come back home.

Dear Hannah,

I'm sorry that I did not write back yesterday. I would very much appreciate your help, but I'm afraid that the wedding is off, for the time being. There is something else I could use your help with, however.

Ernie left yesterday. He left while I was at work, otherwise I wouldn't have let him get out of the door, but he says that he thinks he's doing what's best for me. Of course, that's just not true, and I need to find him and tell him that. Unfortunately, I don't know where to find him. I was hoping, that since you're his best friend, and you've known him so long, that you might know where I should look. I promise that I'm not angry at him, I really just want him to come back home.

Sincerely,
Eleanor
