"Mostly," he replied, looking up. "There are a few clouds- whispy, a silvery grey." He smiled. "The stars are bright, though. I see Orion's belt." He nibbled his lower lip as he studied the stars.
Suddenly, he gasped and released Penny's arm as he tripped. "Oomph!" The breath was knocked out of him as he landed face first on the ground.
"Yeah," he said, shivering slightly as her hand trailed up his side. He sat up, wincing slightly. "Bloody rock or something." He shook his head. "But yeah, I'm fine. I just wasn't paying attention to where I was walking, is all."
"Apparently not," he said with a laugh as he stood. "And they wonder why I prefer flying..." He brushed off his trousers and made sure she was back on her feet before he put an arm around her shoulders.
She laughed along with him and soon found his arm around her shoulder. She rested her head on what she assumed was his chest as they continued walking.
"This is nice," she commented.
She had missed Oliver during the war. He never failed to bring a smile to her face.
"I missed you too," Oliver replied, looking over at her and giving her a light squeeze. "I know what you mean."
He paused a moment to consider her question. "I don't know about replace, exactly. I doubt it will ever be the same as it was, but that's not necessarily a bad thing."
"You're absolutely right," she said, "I'm hoping that some of the old prejudices will have disappeared along with the institutions that fostered them."
"Me too," Oliver said, smiling a bit. "Though a little rivalry's okay, I think. I just hope there's not so much of that blood supremecy or any such rubbish."
"I'd rather you weren't, too. God, that was awful." He shook his head. "We missed you, you know. It was strange to not have you around. And terrifying, because we didn't know what it was.."
"Something like that," he answered with a grin of his own. "Of course, we all dealt with it in different ways, I suppose.."
He fell silent, not wanting to think about that too much. Then he smiled. "Well. All that matters now is that you're here now and everything's okay- well, mostly. And if I can help it, I won't let something like that happen to you again."
She smiled. "Always the Gryffindor," she said, "And who says chivalry is dead?"
It wasn't that Penelope really needed help in protecting herself and as a strong, independent woman she should have been a bit bristled by the comment. But, it was nice to have someone care and so Penelope let it slide.

"Oliver!" she said as she knelt down, trying to feel out where he was.
She soon hit upon his leg and she followed it up to his shoulder (having skipped a rather firm part of his anatomy, of course).
"Are you alright?"

She breathed deeply. The war had been tough for everyone.
"All this talk of the past, kind of makes me miss it all."
She paused before continuing, "D'you think Stoatshead can ever replace what we, I mean the greater We, the Wizarding We, had?"

She tried not to dwell much on her sixth year. It wasn't an altogether pleasant time.
