Charlie had been surprised when he'd recieved the owl from Ron asking if he could bunk up with him for a few days. Everything had seemed quite good for Ron when they'd spent the evening at the Five Alarm and he couldn't imagine for the life of him what could possibly have happened. A row with Lavender? A row with Hermione? Something entirely different?
Of course Charlie had written back immediately, welcoming his youngest brother with open arms. Any family member was welcome at his home regardless of when or why -- that had been the rule when he'd lived in Romania, it was certainly more so now that he was so close in proximity to all of them. Trying not to worry too much, he immediately set to work on getting spare bedding and blankets to make up the spare room, checking for clean towels and a flannel for the bathroom, making certain that the house seemed habitable. Years of living under his mother's rule coupled with shared lodging at the Reserve had taught Charlie to keep things reasonably tidy, but one could never be too careful.
He had to shoo the cat off the pile of clean linens, and check to make certain there were some clean plates and glasses in the kitchen, but other than that, his work was done. Now just to wait and not worry too much.
