Katie had gone flying with her free time in the afternoon. It wasn't something she typically did, but she'd felt restless after getting her daily work done at the cinema. She'd been there for the delivery of her biweekly stock, but had put off unpacking and putting it away, deciding she'd leave it for a time when she and Dennis were both there - as it was too boring a job to do alone, and besides, wasn't an advantage of having someone working for you being able to delegate once in awhile?

Moving the boxes into the storage room, she'd left for the day - for good. She'd decided against running - less for the reason than she'd gone when she woke up that morning, and more for the reason she was still feeling the effects of overdoing it on Monday. Her legs had still felt wobbly walking home after resting by the river. But, unable to sit still, she'd grabbed her broom and decided to go flying.

It wasn't quite the same by one's self - although she was partial to doing most activities with Cedric, but she would have settled for anyone else by that point. Nobody to race against and all the rest. But she took exhiliration still just from the feel of the wind in her hair, and the joy of simply flying, speeding above the world. One of the advantages of Stoatshead still was being able to do that wherever one wanted, although this time she avoided racing through the streets despite being by herself.

She'd done some speed drills, albeit without any obstacles which made it less entertaining, and was flying lazily, and relatively close to the ground, back to Copper Towers when she noticed a familiar figure walking in a similar direction near the river.

Touching down behind him, Katie hopped off her broom, tapping him on the shoulder, "Hey stranger, long time no see." That was certainly putting it mildly.
