Harry had absolutely no idea what to expect today, but somehow, he was almost looking forward to meeting the dotty old lady who used to watch over him on Dudley's birthday. He was curious-- was she, in fact, dotty at all? Or had that all been part of the persona to make him uncomfortable around her so that the Dursleys didn't mind sending him to her?
He'd stared into his closet for quite a while before settling on a nice button-down shirt and a pair of Muggle jeans-- casual but not as if he'd just rolled out of bed. His hair, of course, wouldn't cooperate, but he didn't try to do much more than take the tangles out anyway. He'd almost clipped Cocoa's leash on to bring him along, but thought better of it once he realised that Mrs Figg might still have a houseful of cats. He had the sneaking suspicion that his puppy would come out on the bottom of a fight with felines. At last, he'd popped out into the back garden, cut a bouquet of flowers from what he found growing there, and followed Mrs Figg's instructions to find her house. He knocked on her door just a few minutes later than he'd been invited to do so.
