Dennis made himself get up early, even though he was still a little tired from the previous night. The smile wouldn't leave his face though. He had a job, and he had deflected Katie's hexes, yeah it took a few tries but he'd done it, and he was making friends. But his first friend had been Colin, and Dennis wanted to share his good news.
Colin:
Help! I know Liam's birthday is coming up and you got any ideas. I thought of a set of drums, but I don't want Romilda to hate me forever. Just kidding. But what would be a good thing to get that all three of you would be okay with me giving him?
You should have seen me last night. I felt like I was back in the DA. Katie Bell is teaching me defensive spells and some other things, like how to run the film projector and popcorn machine. I have a job! I'll be working at the cinema with Katie, so won't be around much Friday and Saturday nights, unless you lot feel like taking in a movie.
How's Romilda doing? She taking care of herself? I'd ask about Cormac, but he's an auror right? Sure he's fine, or he wouldn't be in that job. Haven't seen any of you around town, though I did meet a Wayne Hopkins. He said he knew you. And Su, she was in Ravenclaw in you year she told me.
