Date: November 11, 2004
Character(s): Tracey, Gabrielle
Location: The Market
Status: Private
Summary: Gabrielle tells Tracey about the massacre at Nice.
Completion: Incomplete

Gabrielle didn't intend on running into anyone she knew, it was so short of a list she couldn't possibly have anticipated it, but somehow she ended up almost picking Tracey Davis' pocket.

It wasn't personal, she just needed a bite to eat and slipping her hand into someone's pocket was usually the fastest way to get that (stealing the food directly was a good way to get caught as anyone worth stealing from had anti-theft charms on their wares) and Tracey had looked like a perfect mark, unaware of her surroundings and obviously in possession of enough money to buy food.

"Ah, Je m'excuse," She murmured, offering the money back to the Pureblood. "I did not know 'oo you were, mes apologies. I am Gabrielle Delacour, een case you did not recognize moi, and... I was with your parents at Nice."

Completely aware of what it was like to not know where someone you cared about was, or worse, to be told they were dead without neither confirmation or evidence, someone had once told her Fleur was dead, Gabrielle had planned on finding Tracey as soon as was possible but hadn't any leads until she'd heard that the Davis was in Stoatshead Hill.
