"D'you build toys?" Maire asked. She was making a brown stick with one very messy end, which Viktor figured was the broom. She went back to coloring.
"Is good, for less busy," Viktor said. "You are perhaps, then, sleep sometimes." He refrained from adding, now that you've chosen someone to cuddle up with.

"Yeah, I'll be building things, furniture and also general woodwork, like I do now," he said to Viktor, squinting a bit at the 'pretty face' comment before he chuckled. Maire's question made him smile, and he thought over it.
"I've never tried toys," he admitted. "I guess I could give it a shot. Might even be easier than furniture."

She considered Maire's question and frowned thoughtfully. "You know, you could probably make some simple toys just with lumber that was remaining from other projects. Then there'd not really be any profit loss save for time spent on each item," she told Roger. "With the school and orphanage being local, there'd be a good opportunity for possibly selling small wizarding toys." She trailed off and smiled sheepishly. "Or not, since it's your business, and I'm just thinking aloud."
Turning to Viktor, she smiled. "I'm still pretty busy," she said simply, not mentioning the sleep, or lack thereof.

He chuckled that Hermione was coming up with extra ideas for Rogr's business as well as her own, but he didn't comment on that, either. She was probably always going to have more ideas than time.
"Does the elfs come soon?" Maire asked. "'m starvin'."
Viktor looked about, then reassured her they were probably next.

Viktor's offer took him aback, and he grinned. "You'd help with that, if I decide to do it? I'd appreciate it; thanks. It wouldn't take up too much of your time, as it would be a really small offshoot. But Hermione's right, there'd be a demand with kids about, and such." He'd definitely think about it, once he got underway with the business and furniture.
He leaned back a bit, thinking, as the house elf came back.

The elf arrived, and Viktor asked for a chicken and vegetable dish, then ordered for Maire, who evidently wanted ketchup rather than vinegar for her chips. The elf picked up her crayon and created a dozen more colors with the snap of a finger, and set a glass of milk before her unasked, then made it chocolate milk when she wrinkled her nose.
Viktor looked at Hermione. "And what are you have?" he asked.

After the house elf arrived, she waited until Viktor and Maire ordered. "I'll have bangers and mash, please," she said, waiting for Roger to order.
"If you need any help with the business end of things, you know that you can just ask," she told Roger. "I don't know a lot, but I've had to read a few books and learn for running Bookworm and Vannateigh."

Roger lifted a brow and grinned at Viktor and Hermione's exchange. He'd not ask how Hermione knew how Viktor was with his hands -- not because he was afraid of the answer, but because knew Hermione would flush and swat him if he did.
Hermione ordered her bangers and mash, and Roger asked for beef stew. The elf popped away with their orders and he turned to Hermione. "Thanks," he said. "I'll definitely ask. I've been checking out some books, too, as I go along. Mostly on the building end of things, though, not the business. Maybe we could go over some of those books soon." He smiled.

He shrugged. "Yes, you must let me know. I am not worry," he added, "about profit. Is perhaps, good to re-place profit, at business, I think, when it is business, is just begin. But, you must, of course, I am think phrase is 'put head together' with Hermione, for."
He looked innocent some more and leaned over to Maire. "What is this part, you are make?"
"'tis the cat," she said, clearly believing this to be obvious. "King of the cat."
"Ah. Yes, is King of all that he see. I am remember."
