Cedric,

I will meet with the other Trustees of the Foundation tomorrow morning to review your application. As I rather suspect that hearing there are other Trustees will give you a sleepless night, please let me set your mind at ease. The regulations under which the Foundation was formed require a board of three. As the principal, I can assure that you have no need to lose sleep.

However this does bring to light a potential problem. Have you registered the museum as of yet? If not, would you like me to direct you to my solicitor who has experience with both the muggle and wizarding requirements?

Would Thursday evening be convenient? Dine with me if you will. We can discuss the inventory and afterward you can take a look through the Christian artifacts here at the church.

Dear Rabastan,

Thank you for your note, and I received the acceptance today, so yes, I am much relieved. I've sent back a brief note that specific details of tax exempt number will follow, once established.

I'm glad you mentioned registering the museum, as this is something I'm utterly confused about. Or rather, not so much confused as baffled as to how to proceed with the Ministry in its current state. I did visit the Ministry a week and a half ago, and had the opportunity to speak directly to the Minister (yes, before her public announcement). I rather like her, but her previous departmental appointment was very far from anything to do with the museum, and she wasn't aware what oversight (if any) the Ministry had. (I short, I believe she knew even less than I do, and I have not, of yet, found anyone actually familiar with previous details. I'm flying by the seat of my pants ( ... )

Cedric,

You are once again making things more difficult than they need be. I am beginning to suspect that this is signature trait, and one you must try to break yourself of if you plan to build a world class museum. There are people trained to deal with these types of things, and you need to make use of them. Consider this another of those times when I will be pushy about getting my way.

Come Thursday whenever you are ready. I have no appointments to keep my from home. I warn you that I have been teaching myself how to prepare some of my favorite dishes using the muggle cooker. I plan on testing your openness to other cultures by serving you fesenjan, which is a traditional Persian stew. It should be ready by 6 o'clock, but will hold beautifully until you arrive, whenever that may be.

Until Thursday,
Rabastan

Dear Mr. Rosenvinge,

I thank you for your confirmation letter. You are quite correct that the (new) museum is not yet registered. I would anticipate an arrangement (legally) similar to that of the old museum, but as the Ministry only recently secured a functioning Minister, as well as a head for the Finance Department, I'm afraid the museum existed in limbo.

I will contact you in a few days with further information, but I can say that the new Head of Finance for the British Ministry is Mr. Percival I. Weasley. His secretary is Ms. Morag MacDougal. More details forthcoming.

Sincerely,
Cedric G.C. Diggory,
Museum Director
