Date: 11 January, 2005
Characters: Charlie Weasley, Molly Weasley
Location: Molly's tent
Status: Private
Summary: Charlie has dinner with his Mum
Completion: Complete

Charlie bent to lace his boots, thinking perhaps his Mum would make him take them off before coming inside anyway. The thought made him smile. Tromping around here in your muddy boots was just the type of thing his memory churned out when thinking about her.

He walked up the lane at a quick pace, and not just because of the bite of the January air. He was eager to see her. The whole time he was training in Exeter, he'd been thinking that he'd not seen nearly enough of her since he'd been back to England.

It was ironic, he thought, that he moved all the way back home to make a life near his family, and as soon as he got here he lost himself in solitude again - first in fixing up the house, and now with this new job. The truth was, despite having an easy way with people, Charlie he preferred quiet and solitude. It's why he gravitated toward the career he did.

But even if he had to remind himself to do it, he was determined to make more time for his Mum than he had been. He missed her more than a little.

After a few minutes, he arrived at the tent on the Burrow property that belonged to his mother. Not hearing her inside, he pulled the flap aside and called out. "Mum?"
