RP: Morning Meeting

Dec 16, 2006 15:06

Theodore,

I have the morning without plans, perhaps you should come to my house and we can discuss matters of the school? I believe now is the opportune time to begin such things and trust you won’t let any unimportant engagement prevent you from visiting me.

Yours sincerely,

Fleur Weasley

Fleur watched Bill as he fired questions at Theodore and felt conflicted. On one hand she was annoyed that it seemed he thought she wouldn't think of such things, but on the other it felt really good to know he was had an interest in her affairs.

"I believe that lots of good can come of this arrangement," Fleur replied with a warm smile in Theo's direction. She had not said she had total faith in Theodore because she did not, but he certainly seemed trustworthy enough and did not want the wizard to get annoyed. "You do not have to worry about illegal dealings. Do I strike you as a corrupter of innocents, Monsieur Nott?"

So she did not have complete faith in him. Well she was probably wise not to, but it did keep him on his toes.

'I'm sure it will be a prosperous arrangement indeed, especially for the young children in town,' Theo answered Fleur with a smile. 'And I assure you, that if you'd struck me as a 'corrupter of the innocent', as you put it, then I would not have offered my time or my money,' he finished with a smile.

He was too smooth, that's what bothered Bill about Theo Nott. He was too level. He didn't seem passionate about anything, he knew exactly what to say, and when to say it. He was very much a Slytherin, but it wasn't even that that had Bill slightly on edge. He'd known some very nice Slytherins at Gringotts and on his team who were all very much Slytherins, but Theo . . . there was something off about him. He frowned thoughtfully. "So besides Fleur's daycare, are you working on any other projects?"

Theo shook his head. 'Not at the moment, at least,' he answered. 'Katie, and that would be Katie Bell, I think she knows your brother,' Theo interjected. 'Well she mentioned something about a museum, but I haven't made up my mind on anything yet,' he said with a smile.

'In earnest, most of my time and effort goes into the reconstruction of my childhood home. I'm rebuilding it here in Stoats,' he said with a smile. He turned back to Fleur.

'When we've arranged everything for the school - well daycare - I would love to discuss a few things in that area too. I'm going to France in a few weeks to make arrangements for the purshase of the stone used to rebuild the house as most was destroyed in the battle, and I was hoping you'd have some connections or recommendations to offer for acquiring furniture, fabrics, wallpaper. If you want me to look around for things to use in the daycare facilities, I would of course be happy to do that too when I'm there,' Theo said, flashing of another warm smile

Fleur did not glance at Bill, but she knew she would be hearing more on this as soon as Theodore left.

The idea of Theodore rebuilding his childhood home was most interesting. It was obviously going to be a very grand project if he required materials to be imported from another country entirely. While it was obvious to Fleur that Theo was making full use of his connection to her, she did not see a problem in naming a few names or introducing a few people. Especially if she would get something out of the arrangement too.

"That would be possible though I would have to check things before I recommend you anything so that your time and mine is not wasted. Maybe in a few days I can owl you with contacts and lists of things I may need? I need to rethink plans right now."

'Of course,' Theo responded with a nod. 'I understand perfectly. You have my funds to whatever you need them, and we can discuss matters of insight and involvement in closer details when you know what you need. Possibly we should draw up a written contract as well,' he added, thinking that would be a good one for Rita to get her hands on.

He smiled. 'That way you, and Bill,' he added nodding in acknowledgment of the other man, 'can have a guarantee on the limits of my involvement. I could contact my solicitor and have him draw up a suggestion if you wish,' he suggested sweetly.

'And I'd be most grateful for the contacts of course,' he added with a warm smile. 'The company I'm going to visit for the stone is in the south of France, close to Nice, but I would be more than happy to travel around a bit if needed, either for mine or our benefit,' he added.
