Zacharias rolled his eyes. "You don't think I have friends?"

"Well, you barely talked about them during school!" Adair said pointedly, taking a bite of a rather scrumptious biscuit that Zacharias was saving for later that day. Zach didn't say a thing as Adair continued to bite and swallow, and rolled his eyes as he leisurely walked to the balcony.

"That's because I was barely home for one, and two, because what business is it of yours?" He sneered slightly. "Hurry up and eat, we'll bug Mandy up above me."

"Who's Mandy?" Adair quipped, following him quickly, all the while still eating a biscuit.

"A girl." Zacharias said simply, and motioned his brother out into the balcony. "We'll fly up there, and if she's not there I'll take you somewhere else. I don't know. We'll go flying."

"You should convince Dad to get me a broom," Adair said, eyes wide. Zacharias laughed.

"Bullocks. I didn't get a broom until I entered school, what makes you think you're gonna get one now?"

Adair smirked. "Because I'm the favorite child and you know it."

Zach paused, considered it, and then nodded. He shrugged quickly after and mounted his dusty broom, blowing away the dust with a gust of air. He patted the seat behind him. "Let's go, get in the back."

Adair stuffed the rest of the biscuit in his mouth and climbed behind Zach, wrapping his arms tightly around his brother and holding on as Zach lifted up. As soon as he did, Adair's grip became tighter, and Zach frowned, noticing this. He didn't say a thing, but let the broom drift lazily up to Mandy's balcony, where he peered in her window, then calling out, "Oi, Brocklehurst, you in there?"
