Date: November 30, 2004 Character(s): Lee Jordan, Hermione Granger Location: Their respective houses Status: Private Summary: Lee wants to ask for a job Completion: Incomplete
The owl arrived early in the morning. Hermione didn't recognize it, so she performed the necessary charms to make sure the parchment was safe before she read it. Then she read it again.
Lee Jordan wanted to work with books? She remembered him, of course. He was always around Fred and George, so it would have been difficult not to know him. He just hadn't ever struck her as the type to be interested in books or printing. She knew she'd rarely ever seen him in the library. Perhaps he'd changed over the years. Or perhaps he was desperate for a job. Either was possible

Lee took the letter from the owl, hoping it had good news. After reading it he grabbed a pen and some paper.
Ms. Granger,
It pleases me that you remember me. Your missive made me smile as I recall not having much of a passion for books at school, either. I'm happy that you pointed out that people change so that I wouldn't have to.
I worked in construction during my summers while I was at college. I believe I could help you with the conversion as well as being happy to assist you in running of your shop, if you agree.
I think a meeting would be good, that way you can see if I would suit your needs. As far as salary, right now I am just finding myself at loose ends, I want to work, I don't need to. At least not right at this moment. Meals would go a ways of making my funds last longer, and would be appreciated.
I await word of when and where you would like to meet.
Yours,
Lee JordanSitting back in his chair, after sending the owl off with his reply, he enjoyed his cup of tea. Thinking about working, printing, and about

I agree that a meeting would be best. It will probably be a few days, possibly a week, before we're ready to start actually working on the store, but I hate procrastinating and much would rather have this interview completed so we're not both left waiting and wondering if it will go well or poorly.
How does tomorrow sound? 10am at Socks pub? We can talk over coffee or tea. Sock is located on 5th Steet, south of Beta. I'll draw a small rough map on the bottom of the parchment based on the river so you'll be able to find it easier, since you've just arrived in town and might know about it yet.
