Date: November 28, 2004
Characters: Megan, Zach
Location: 2-B River Place
Status: Private
Summary: Megan keeps her mind off of ex-husbands by helping Zach clean up.
Completion: Incomplete

Offering to help Zach clean up his flat had been almost an automatic for Megan - but now that she and Ben were heading down to 2-B, she was triply glad that she'd made the offer and that Zach had accepted. For one thing, anything to get her out of the house and her mind off of - things. Secondly, Zach was a familiar face, and she really was glad to be able to help out a friend. And finally, Ben was downright thrilled at the prospect.

If it wasn't talk of searching for treasures, it was all about the bunnies - "Dust bunnies," Megan kept telling him. "They're really not what you think." But Ben insisted on wearing his treasure-hunting outfit, and Meg figured why not. They didn't have to go outside to get there, after all.

Which was another good reason to go, she thought as they got out of the lift. How had she been living in this building for months without really meeting anyone else that lived here? Neighbors were an important source of support and comfort, and she knew that as well as anybody.

"We should have made a cake or something," she told Ben, knocking on Zach's door. "Yeah," he said seriously. "A pirate cake."
