RP: Katie's Surprise Birthday Party

George looked around the Five Alarm with a critical eye. He had rented the place out to throw a surprise party for his old friend, and he grudgingly admitted to himself current fancy, Katie Bell. George shook his head, he needed to get Katie out of his head, he was pretty sure she only thought of him as a friend so he didn't bother pursuing anything more with her. Although here he was throwing her a surprise party. He really was a bloody idiot at times.
He had put up streamers in various blues and purples around the ceiling of the Five Alarm. There also hung a large banner over the bar saying "Happy Birthday Katie." On the bar in a corner where hopefully they wouldn't get damaged were some mums he had picked from his Mum's garden in a transfigured vase. The blossoms were a mix of yellows, oranges, and reds. He hope she liked them, even in his Mum's garden there hadn't been much of a choice of flowers this late in the year.
George glanced over at the clock, it was almost six-thirty which is when he had told people to start arriving. Alicia was going to bring Katie by at seven. He hoped Alicia hadn't ruined the surprise, because he would turn her into a canary, or worse if she had. Staring at the clock again he watched the seconds tick by for a bit wiping his sweaty palms on his clean jeans. George really hoped Katie enjoyed her party.
Looking around George saw Rosmerta had the chocolate cake all ready and there was food and drink enough for every one. Realizing there was nothing left to do George leaned back against a wall and waited for people to start crawling in.
