RP: A Friend on the Doorstep

Angelina shifted the rucksack on her back and placed her first steel-toed boot on the first stair of the apartment building. Ang let out a little sigh, then decided she really couldn't wait any longer, and took the rest of the stairs two at a time. It had been years since she'd seen even her closest friends and she was excited to see everyone from her former life at Hogwarts.
Since she'd been recruited to play Quidditch right out of school, she'd been living and playing in Australia. It had been so long, she wondered if she'd even recognize her former school friends. She knew just how Ali had changed and seen pictures of her and Katie through their correspondence, but wondered if there would be awkwardness just because she was used to a different culture and style of interaction, having been gone so long.
Ang was more excited than anything to finally be back to a culture and society where she'd thrived, grown, and become herself as an adolescent. Nothing was more important to her than helping to rebuild this community and pass on the great traditions she'd become a part of as a young witch.
Ang shifted the bag again when she reached the door to Ali's flat: 5A.
Having just climbed five flights of stairs, she was a little out of breath, but felt good and strong due to her exercise. She was a little sore from travel, but the stretching and moving felt good. She knocked three times on Ali's door and anxiously waited for her friend to greet her.
