Fleur had sensed Theo's arrival the moment he had crossed the line seperating her property from the road. She did not get up to go and greet her new guest though, and sat in her chair watching Liam run around on the lush green lawn that was dappled with morning sunlight and the shade from the grand old oaks and willow trees in the garden.

When Theo appeared from around the corner of the house, Fleur looked up and flashed him a wide smile, though inside she was most displeased at his obvious refusal to acknowledge the presence of Liam.

"Good morning, Theodore," she said in a soft voice as she gracefully stood and walked the last few steps to greet the man. "Perhaps we step inside to discuss what is so urgent that you could not spare me a few hours?"

Though Theo had been unwilling to wait to meet Fleur, her annoyance had faded and her tone was light and enticing as she motioned for him to follow her inside.

Liam had spent too long lying in wait to catch that rotten gnome. He knew that if he were just fast enough, he could catch it. He just had to get more practice. He needed to tell Fleer this, and he wanted to ask for her assistance. She had been very helpful so far with her ideas.

He tried to stop giggling as he ran around the corned, but stopped when he slammed into something hard.

Liam looked up and saw a tall dark haired man scowling down at him.

He laughed.

Theo smiled warmly at Fleur nodding when she suggested going inside. Yes that would be best - and then he wouldn't have worry about the child.

'Yes, that sounds perfect,' he said softly, for a moment actually wanting to smile as he looked into Fleur's eyes. The feeling vanished as soon as it had appeared, however, and Theo took a step in the direction Fleur was indicating.

That's when something slammed into his legs. Hard.

He looked down at with a scowl before he had time to hide his displeasure. And looked straight at a laughing child. A very muddy laughing child. Who'd got mud on his clothes. His Muggle clothes which didn't weren't dirt repellent.

Theo stifled the growl that threatened to emerge, and forced himself to smile at the boy.

'Your son?' he asked Fleur with another smile. 'Or the guest you mentioned in your owl?'

"Theodore, if you were noticing the colour of this boy's hair, you would be seeing he could not possibly be my son. He is my guest I was telling you about."

She really shouldn't laugh at Theodore's clothes getting muddy. It wasn't funny. Really, it wasn't...

Fleur crouched down in front of Theo and Liam and brushed a smudge of dirt from his cheek. "You should try to sneak up on the gnome. You run very fast but the fast running is very noisy. Can you tip-toe? Watch where they are and see if you can be sneaking up on them without them noticing," she put on a very serious face as she pointed to a gnome peering shrewdly at them from under a fern.

From her crouched position, Fleur looked up at Theodore and smiled. "Are you able to cast a cleaning charm on that dirt on the clothes, or would you like me to take care of it?"

Once inside the cool, open interior of the house, Fleur turned around and faced Theo. She smiled slowly as she watched him follow behind her, and those who knew Fleur Weasley closely would have recognised her expression as somewhat predatory.

"So Theodore, what is this urgent business which you needed to speak of with me?" she asked slowly, allowing him time to enter the room and look at her before she distracted his attention with her voice.

If Theo had looked up into Fleur's eyes when he entered the room, he would have seen the predatory look her eyes. As his eyes were focused elsewhere he missed it completely.

He didn't miss the seductive tone to his voice, however. Swallowing hard, he forced himself to remember his business.

'It's about a house guest of mine,' he said slowly, pondering how to best get her to do what he wanted her to. 'One I think you'd be interested in. Do you have somewhere we could sit down?' he asked.

Theodore wasn't getting straight to the point, and Fleur watched him fixedly. It had apparently been so important that he couldn't wait several hours to see her, and now he was stalling for time. Fleur's guard was up as she nodded and indicated to a sofa right beside Theo, that he had been too distracted to notice.

With a careful look out the window, Fleur noted Liam was still safe in the garden and so she sat down. A casual pat of the cushion beside her indicated she wanted Theo to sit beside her and get on with what he had come to do. "Why would you think I would be interested in any guest of yours, Theodore?"

Theo had preferred not to sit quite so close to Fleur, but her wish was clear and so he sat down next to her.

'It's someone you know well,' he said, thinking it best not to stall to much. 'Or someone you should know well at least,' he said slowly, trying to keep his eyes from moving over Fleur's legs, so close to his own.

He cleared his throat and continued, getting to the point. 'Your sister has spent the night in one of the spare bedrooms in my house,' he said, putting emphasis on the word spare - not wanting Fleur to think he'd taken advantage of her sister. Somehow he didn't think that would go over all to well.
